Pipe bursting, a trenchless sewer line replacement method, involves assessing the existing sewer line, selecting a new pipe such as high-density polyethylene (HDPE), inserting a bursting head with cutting blades into the old pipe through access pits, using hydraulic equipment to pull the bursting head through the old pipe while breaking it apart and simultaneously pulling the new pipe into place.
We then connect the new pipe to the existing system, test for leaks and flow, and restore the site. This method is a popular choice for sewer line replacement projects, especially when replacing deteriorated or undersized sewer lines.
